About This Project

This poker chip project started as a fun side idea, but it's turning into something much bigger. Having played golf in high school, I noticed how fundraising is a big deal for teams. That got me thinking—what if I could make custom poker chips that could double as golf ball markers or just be a cool souvenir to sell?

I picked up some new skills while modeling these chips in SolidWorks. One of the best things I learned was how to use SVG/vector files to import school logos into my designs. This saved me a ton of time since I didn’t have to manually measure or model the logos by hand. It’s definitely a trick I’ll keep using for future projects.

What’s really exciting about this project is how it’s going from just an idea to something I can actually scale. I’ve been networking with high school golf coaches in Ohio, and the feedback has been awesome! Right now, I’m working on turning this into a small business because these chips are proving to be something customers want to come back for.
